Joel McDonald is a voice actor and director with over 15 years of experience in the industry. He has appeared in well over 100 titles, including Takumi from Initial D, Zeref from Fairytail, Kuma in One Piece, Aoyama in My Hero Academia, Ronald Knox in Black Butler, Dilandau Albatou in Escaflowne, Brief in Panty and Stocking, Take Hirako in Tokyo Ghoul, Meow in Space Dandy, Minato in Sekirei, Baccano in Jacuzzi Splot, Phichit Chulanont in Yuri!!! on ICE, Koki Mimura in Assassination Classroom, Milieus Zeremski in Attack on Titan, Hayato Ike in Shakugan no Shana, Oberon in The Ancient Magus' Bride and many more!

He started at Funimation and in his 11 years there, he worked as a producer, adaptive scriptwriter, and director for shows like One Piece, Space Dandy, and Sgt. Frog.

Joel then moved on to become Gearbox Software’s first VOverlord, overseeing casting and directing for Gearbox titles like Borderlands 3, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, and all accompanying DLCs and post-launch content. Come by and say hi- he’s pretty nice!
